Our signature product, ORBexpress, leads the pack in top-speed communications software and is the proven fastest and smallest ORB on the market today. We provide embedded and real-time connectivity software development tools to worldwide telecommunications, data communications, transportation, industrial automation, consumer electronics, and military and aerospace markets.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute territory / account sales plans for assigned territory and then meet and exceed sales goals (quotas) through prospecting, qualifying, managing and closing sales opportunities within the assigned territory.
- Develop and manage sales pipeline, prospect and assess sales and move a large number of transactions simultaneously through the sales pipeline.
- Manage and track customer and transactional information in a CRM system.
- Coordinate resources throughout the sales cycle, including product support and sales engineering.
- Provide product demonstrations and general support to prospective customers.
- Nurture and expand the company’s relationship with customer accounts of all sizes.
- Provide regular reporting of pipeline and forecast through the CRM system.
- Keep abreast of competition, competitive issues and products
- Practice effective, excellent communication with management, customers and support staff.
- Participate in team-building and company-growth activities including strategy setting, sales training, marketing efforts and customer care.
- Travel to customer locations in support of sales efforts.
- Other duties as assigned
Territories could include major markets such as:
- U.S. West
- Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Phoenix, Las Vegas
- U.S. Central
- Dallas/Fort Worth, Chicago, St. Louis, Detroit, Minneapolis/St. Paul<
- U.S. East
- Boston, New York, Philadelphia, Washington DC, Atlanta, Orlando
Desired Skills & Experience
8-10 years’ experience selling software to advanced and large-scale system builders.
Recent experience selling or supporting real-time operating systems and/or software development tools to embedded system engineers is essential. This position requires strong presentation skills, including presenting at conferences and customer sites.
Self-starters who take their own initiative. Have the desire, even the obsession, to bring new customers into the OIS franchise and maximize revenue. You are a closer.
Consistent record of over achieving sales goals in a large geographic territory.
Excellent communication skills. You know what to say and more importantly, how to say it.
Missionary. Highly driven individual with an execution focus and a strong sense of urgency and a belief in OIS’ core mission. You go beyond relationship management to help customers achieve their objectives.
Have an understanding of communications infrastructure software such as Common Object Request Broker Architecture (CORBA) or Distributed Data Service (DDS), Software Communications Architecture (SCA), Software Defined Radio (SDR).
The successful candidate is located in, or willing to relocate to, one of the major markets.
Field application engineers or sales engineers who have significant experience supporting the sales process for real-time operating systems and/or software development tools are encouraged to apply.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENT: Position requires moderate amounts of regional travel as well as occasional trips to the Virginia corporate headquarters for planning meetings.
