Objective Interface Systems, Inc., is seeking a Field Application/Mentoring Engineer to be based at our headquarters in Northern Virginia. Our signature product, ORBexpress, leads the pack in top-speed communications software and is the proven fastest and smallest ORB on the market today. We provide embedded and real-time connectivity software development tools to worldwide telecommunications, data communications, transportation, industrial automation, consumer electronics, and military and aerospace markets.

You will never be bored. The applicant accepting this position will support account representatives on sales calls, create and deliver presentations at customer sites, conferences and seminars, teach training classes, provide consulting/mentoring services, write articles for trade magazines and work with customers in resolving questions and issues they might have.

Engineers or sales engineers who have significant experience supporting the sales process for real-time operating systems and/or software development tools are strongly encouraged to apply.

In-depth experience working with real-time operating systems and/or software development tools to embedded system engineers is essential. This position requires strong presentation skills, including presenting at conferences and customer sites. We need self-starters who can take the initiative on their own.

The successful candidate will be located in, or willing to relocate to the Washington D.C./Northern Virginia metro region.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENT: Position requires moderate amounts of travel, including some international travel.
